I know, I don't look old enough, but believe me when I say I've had a long and varied career - spanning creative copywriting and direction, strategic and operational planning, and regional marketing leadership.
I've conceived and written campaigns, defined and launched brands, produced terabytes of content, and delivered all manner of marketing plan. I've managed projects, processes, budgets, teams and sponsorships. And sold everything from careers serving peri peri chicken to complex financial derivatives.
The one consistent: a passion for the power of words.
To crystalise an idea, position a brand, articulate a strategy and lay out a plan. To cut through the noise, breathe life into a topic, build understanding and stick in your mind. To shape an experience, create a mood, provoke a thought and, all going well, achieve a result.
So that's what I do. I find the words to help organisations large and small articulate their marketing strategies and plans, and produce their creative and content.
I love it. I'm good at it. And I'm keen to do more.

As head of marketing for IG UK, I was responsible for full-funnel strategy, execution and performance - including partnerships with the NFL, Harlequins and England Cricket.

I joined the marketing team at IG in 2012, leading first the content team then the planning function, driving strategy and execution globally across a range of D2C trading and investment products.

I spent 10 years as a copywriter and creative director in the employer brand and communications space, delivering campaigns and content for a range of major recruiters.

I started out in the editorial team of a specialist careers and educational publisher, sub-editing, commissioning and/or writing dozens of potentially life-changing guides.
